Good Afternoon Andre

I wonder if you could offer me some advice/assistance please.

My grandmother was demobbed from Shinfield Park in or around the summer of 1946.

Her name was Dora Grimshaw (known as Dimps) & she was a cook in the Officers Mess.It was here that she met my grandfather "Tony" & became pregnant. All we know about him is that he is of Greek possibly Cypriot origin & that he was a Bat Man. He came for the Bayswater area of London where his family had a fish & chip shop.

Please could you offer any advice on how we could find out any details about him as we would like to complete our family tree & have come to a complete standstill.

My lovely grandmother is 89 now but unfortunately suffers from dementia so she is unable to help us in our quest.

Any advice would be most gratefully received.
