Scenes from ‘Dr Who: Spearhead from Space (1970)

Derek plays John Ransome, a scientist in a toy factory that has been taken over by the Autons, who of course have come to conquer the earth. He has been given his notice and protests magnificently ... but to no avail. This is shown in “Clip from episode 2”. He ultimately ends up as Auton fodder as shown in “Complete episode 3”, where he is seen in various scenes leading up to his unfortunate demise.

Clip from ‘Ghostwatch’ (1992)

This was a British reality-horror pseudo-documentary tv film first broadcast on BBC1 on Halloween night, 1992. Written by Stephen Volk and directed by Lesley Manning, the drama was produced for the BBC anthology series Screen One by Richard Broke, Ruth Baumgarten and Derek Nelson.

Despite having been recorded weeks in advance, the narrative was presented as live television. During and following its first and only UK television broadcast, the show attracted a considerable furor resulting in an estimated 30,000 calls to the BBC switchboard in a single hour.

Derek is clearly seen in this clip talking to Craig Charles, but was uncredited by IMDb.
